Slave Flash Components

Tip Provided by Dave

Several people have asked for more specific details on slave flash units, so here it is. This is a slave flash triggering unit that will slip onto any "hot shoe" flash unit. The little "bee hive" looking lens on top is where the light from the camera's flash enters the slave trigger to in turn activate it.

This is where the flash and the slave triggering unit connect together.

And here it's shown all together.

By golly, it even works!

Here's a shot of an all-in-one slave flash unit. The triggering circuit is built into it and the light from the camera's flash enters via the white dome.

Hope this helps to clear up any questions on how this handy auxiliary lighting arrangement works.
